Description
Situated in the picturesque village of Kosmos, with wonderful views of Hartbeespoort dam, Bali at Scenic Haven, formerly Bali at Willinga Lodge, is a perfect romantic getaway. Only 45 minutes from Johannesburg or Rustenburg and 40 minutes from Pretoria, we are conveniently situated for that unrehearsed planned trip.
Set in a beautiful tropical garden are Nine deluxe suites, five with thatched roofs. The suites are all very private with separate entrances, terraces or their own private deck, or a balcony in the case of the Palm suite. All nine suites have en-suite bathrooms with bath and/or shower, four suites have spa baths and six suites have fireplaces. All suites are equipped with bar fridges, overhead fans and a tea and coffee station.
The suites have use of a guest lounge with fireplace and TV with DStv, a thatched lapa area, shared gourmet kitchen and breakfast area, a salt-water rock pool and large sun deck, and a tropical garden.

Area Info
Kosmos is primarily a village in the North West Province of South Africa. It is situated on the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam. It is thought that the name derives from the Kosmos which grows wild in great drifts in many parts of the Highveld, and in particular on the roads from the nearby major cities.
Hartbeespoort Dam is situated close to Pretoria, Johannesburg, Sun City (all 1 hour) and Lanseria Airport. There is a wide variety of things to do in the area. For example there are several African flea markets, the De Wildt Cheetah Centre, historical sites, golf courses and art galleries. One can go hiking in the Magielesberg, horse riding, quad biking, bird watching or fishing. Many beautiful wedding venues nearby.
Directions
- From Lanseria International Airport:
- Head northwest on Airport Rd toward Ashenti Road.
- Turn left onto Ashenti Road and proceed 1.5 km.
- Use the right 2 lanes to turn right onto Pelindaba Road/R512 and proceed 17.4 km.
- Turn left onto R512 and proceed 7.4 km.
- Continue straight to stay on the R512 for 2.2 km.
- Turn right to stay on the R512 and proceed 4.2 km.
- Take the ramp to the R560 and proceed 900 m.
- Turn right onto the R560 and proceed 650 m.
- Continue onto the R512 for 2.1 km.
- Turn right onto Simon Bekker Avenue and proceed 2.8 km.
- Turn left onto Coleman Street and proceed 500 m (Restricted usage road).
- Coleman Street turns slightly left and becomes Paul Kruger Avenue (Restricted usage road), proceed 500 m.
- Scenic Haven will be on the left at 130 Paul Kruger Street.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
