Area Info
The Hartbeespoortdam is situated in the Bojanala region of the North West Province. The dam, surrounded by the majestic Magalies Mountains (12O km long and 1852 m in altitude), was constructed in 1923 and the lake is 2062 ha and has 56 km border.
Pretoria is situated 28 km South East and Johannesburg International Airport "O.R.TAMBO" (80 km) is approximately 1 hour drive. Lanseria national Airport is only 30 minutes drive and is the ideal place to continue your travel schedule from Hartbeespoortdam to Cape Town.
We are situated only 1½ hour drive from the Pilanes National Park (Big Five) and Sun City. There are also a lot of tourist attractions around the dam or a short distance away from it.
Some of the National Game Parks are situated not that far from us. The Kruger National Park is between 4-5 hours drive from Hartbeespoortdam.

- Coming from Sandton or Lanseria by the R511over the hill to the dam, you will pass on your left hand site Jasmyn Mill. Continue to Sediba Plaza Shopping Centre (Crossing with KFC and O'Hagan's) and turn left. Continu straight on for 1 km (pass meanwhile the turn around ) and the crossing with Mauser Street till you will see on your right hand site a Sasol Fuel Station. On this crossing turn left into Cannon Crescent and go for 700 m up to the hill. We are on your right hand site Nr 68 - Ponciana with a big waterpot feature and flags outside on the street.

- Coming from Brits take the R511 to Pretoria. Continue till on the top of the hill (Silkaatsnek) there is a brown Tourismbord on the left side of the road with 'Hartbeespoortdam'. On this T-junction turn right and follow till the end of this road. On the crossing on the left hand side you'll see a Total Fuel Station. Turn here left on the main road. 500 m there is a stop on a crossing. On your right hand side you'll see a KFC and opposite of it O'Hagan's. Turn here right. Continu straight on for 1 km (pass meanwhile the turn around) and the crossing with Mauser Street till you will see on your right hand site a Sasol Fuel Station. On this crossing turn left into Cannon Crescent and go for 700 m up to the hill. We are on your right hand site Nr 68 - Ponciana with a big waterpot feature with 2 flags outside on the street.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancelling 2 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 75% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 28 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
Conditions
Booking only confirmed once proof of payment of 50 % is received by mail ,via Fax to +27-(0)86-5452280 or by SMS to 082-5188853
within 24 hours after making reservation.
Outstanding 50 % is payable 10 days prior to arrival.
100 % is payable in case of bookings made less than 10 days prior to arrival.
No children under the age of 12 years.
No pets - No self catering (Braai facilities available)
Ponciana has liquor license and it is prohibited to bring own alcoholics into the premises.
