Area Info
Wilderness Bushcamp is located 700m uphill from Wilderness village. The village has a range of restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and boutique shops in the Milkwood village.
Wilderness is a truly unique place. This garden of Eden is blessed with ocean, mountains, forests and rivers that converge to create a natural paradise just waiting to be explored.
There are hiking trails and biking tracks, forest walks and riverside meanders, fishing spots, mountains to climb, rock pools to explore, world famous paragliding conditions and the endless rolling of the ocean, which beckons you to kick off your shoes and set off along the pristine beaches that stretch as far as the eye can see…
Directions
- Wilderness is located just off the N2, approx 15km from George.
- Once you turn off the N2 into Wilderness, take an immediate left turn at the Astron garage, onto Beacon Road.
- Follow Beacon Road past the SPAR, and then past Milkwood Village. The road will start to narrow and then wind uphill, getting gradually steeper. Don’t turn right into the entrance to the Bird Sanctuary. This is a private residential estate. Instead follow the road upwards.
- The road will twist and turn for approx. 300m and gets very steep in parts, but keep going until you reach the top with the paved parking area.

- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
