Wilderness is a popular vacation destination with stunning beaches and plenty of spots to see whales and dolphins. It is located in an area of unmatched beauty, in the foothills of the Outeniqua Mountains.

Situated 14 km east of George, between the Goukamma Nature Reserve in the east and the Kaaimans River in the west, is the picturesque resort town of Wilderness.

Ginger Lake is just a short walk from the Views Boutique Hotel & Spa, which features a restaurant with breathtaking views.

Directions

  • From George (GRJ) Airport:
  • Head northwest for 13 m.
  • Keep right and continue for 270 m.
  • Turn right onto R404 and proceed for 88 m.
  • Turn right to stay on R404 and drive for 2.3 km.
  • Turn left to merge onto N2 and continue for 400 m.
  • Merge onto N2 and drive for 11.2 km.
  • Use any lane to take the exit toward N2 and continue for 1.2 km.
  • Continue onto N2 for another 11.3 km.
  • At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto 1st Ave and go 300 m.
  • Continue straight onto Serpentine Rd. The destination, Ginger Lake, will be on the left at 573 Serpentine Road, Wilderness.
  • Continue for an additional 32 m to reach the destination.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
  • If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
  • If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
  • If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
