Malachite Manor Luxury Guest House is situated in Underberg, a small farming community at the foothills of the Southern Drakensberg.
The area is part of the uKhahlamba-Drakensberg Park World Heritage Site, one of only 23 sites in the world that holds this Prestigious World Heritage Status for both its biodiversity and its cultural HeritageSite.
Sani Pass is - 2874m above sea level, the pass is the gateway between South Africa and Lesotho.

- From Johannesburg travel on N3 to Howick. Take Howick South (Underberg) onto R617. Travel for 111 km to Underberg. From Underberg carry on for straight for 5km then turn right onto Drakensberg Garden Rd. Malachite Manor will be 4.5km on your right.

- A 50% deposit is required within 48 hours to secure your booking.

- The remaining balance must be paid 21 days before arrival.
- Additional charges may be settled upon departure.
- Failure to make payment as stipulated may result in the cancellation of your reservation.
- In the event of an unforeseen postponement due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, strikes), or in cases of no-shows or incorrect dates provided by the guest, all related costs will be the guest’s responsibility.
- CANCELLATION POLICY
- Cancellations are only valid upon receipt of written notification.
- The following cancellation penalties apply:
- 21 days or less before arrival – 100% of the total booking amount.
- Refunds will be processed according to our cancellation policy, minus any applicable administrative or banking fees.
- CHILDREN POLICY
- Children are welcome in rooms that accommodate up to three guests (Sapphire and Topaz Rooms).
- The adult rate applies to all children staying in these rooms.
- CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT
- Check-in is from 14:00. Guests arriving earlier may enjoy the hotel facilities.
- A late check-in fee of R200 per room applies for arrivals after 20:00.
- Check-out is by 10:00. Late departures may be accommodated based on availability.
- LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
- Guests acknowledge and accept that neither the establishment, its owners, employees, nor agents shall be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or destruction of property occurring on the premises. This includes incidents arising from fire, theft, negligence (gross or otherwise), or wrongful acts of any guesthouse staff or third parties.
