Cancellation Policy

• Thank you for booking with us. Please note the following terms and conditions.
• CHECK IN TIMES: 14h00 / Check out time: 10h00 (Please note that your ETA is not our check in time; rooms are only ready from 2pm and early arrivals cannot be accommodated)
• Please note that ATKV Resorts are family orientated resorts with small children visiting; so no loud noise or parties are allowed. Silence is enforced from 22h00 until 07h00 for the comfort of all our guests. No music is permitted at the resort from motor vehicles or private sound systems / equipment. Please note that you must be 18 years or older to make a reservation at ATKV Resorts.
• Discounts: Ts and Cs are applicable with regards to discounts. In the event of multiple discounts being available over a certain period, discounts may not be used all at once, and only the largest discount will apply.
• By paying you confirm that:
• Your dates and accommodation/camping type(s) are correct.
• You will adhere to all terms and conditions (https://www.atkvresorts.co.za/terms-conditions/) as well as the resort rules.
• Please note, when booking a campsite, that this is just a piece of land that you are renting from us, we offer electricity and shared ablution facilities, but you have to bring your own tent on caravan. No accommodation, beds, cutlery or crockery is included.
• Accepted credit/debit card payments: VISA and MasterCard
• Payments will be made through PayBridge, a secure online payment gateway.
• The reference on your credit/debit card statement will say PayBridge accommodation' and not ATKV Buffelspoort.
• ATKV Buffelspoort reserve the right to not refund credit/debit card fees (transaction costs) in the case of any cancellation or situation where funds need to be reversed back to a credit/debit card or any nominated bank account via EFT (electronic fund transfer).
• For payments not authenticated by 3D Secure:
• The credit/debit card used for the online payment will be requested upon check-in.
• The credit/debit card holder must be present at check-in and will be requested to be identified by ID/Passport.
• Should the credit/debit card holder not be present, a letter of authority and a copy of their ID/Passport and the guest checking in will be required.
• The PayBridge slip will also be required to be signed.
• TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• BOOKINGS:
• Rates include 15% VAT and are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Rates may be changed without prior notice.
• The Total Amount shown on your booking confirmation has been calculated based on an Average Daily Rate (ADR).
• Rates may vary depending on the dates of your stay, including (but not limited to) midweek, weekend, long-weekend, and school-holiday rates.
• Upon arrival you will be: Required to complete and sign the resort's indemnity form / Issued with a vehicle permit.
• Admin Fee: For cancellations longer than 30 days prior to arrival a R 120 administration fee will be charged for the refund of the funds. This fee will increase annually.
• Group bookings: Ts and Cs apply for bookings of 5 units/camp stands or 20+ people. A venue must be booked for meals and a group booking-deposit will be requested.
• Units do not accommodate additional guests due to space constrains.
• Bookings allow for one vehicle per accommodation unit/camp stand. Extra vehicles @ R 95 per night. Rates increase annually.

• Due to escalating incidents of fraudulent electronic fund transfers (EFT), we require that EFT payments are made at least two days prior to arrival. In the event that your payment does not reflect in Buffelspoort's bank account upon arrival, we will require you to pay the outstanding amount. The necessary refund will occur if and when the payment does reflect in Buffelspoort's bank account.
• No keys or permits will be issued until the full account has been settled. Cheque payments are not accepted.
• IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
• Check-in time for accommodation units and camp stands is from 14:00. Check-out time is 10:00 for accommodation units and 12:00 for camp stands.
• Smoking in accommodation units are strictly prohibited. Please be advised that we are a family-oriented establishment. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all accommodation units and buildings throughout the property. In accordance with the law, guests may face fines for non-compliance. Should smoking occur within the accommodation units, a R1000 fee will be charged to cover the costs of deep cleaning and any potential loss of income due to the unit's temporary unavailability. Additionally, the use of "Hookah" or "Hubbly Bubbly" pipes is also not permitted anywhere on the property.
• Accommodation units are serviced daily.
• Guests using our camping facilities must please bring their own power point adaptor.
• The standard size per camp stand is 7m x 7m.
• No pets are allowed, except guide dogs.
• If you are expecting visitors during your stay, it has to be arranged at reception during office hours (Reception will advise if your request can be accommodated, as it is not always possible). Day visit hours are from 08:00 to 17:00. No visitors will be allowed after 17:00.
• Own swimming towels and dishcloths must be provided.
• No music is permitted at the resort from motor vehicles or private sound systems/equipment.
• Please consider the other guests by keeping noise levels as low as possible.
• No four-wheelers are allowed at the resort.
• Only accepted swimwear will be allowed.
• Please note that during our out of season midweeks, there may be conference and/or school groups at the resort. For more information in this regard, please contact reception.

• Day visitors: We do not allow day visitors.
