Mziki Private Game Reserve is 6000ha and home to 4 of the “Big Five'' and a diverse range of wildlife and landscape with the Hex River flowing through the middle of the Game Reserve for 8km.
This is the perfect family destination catering for children of all ages with a wide range of activities. Our Mini-Rangers course is popular with archery and learning about the bush, animals, spoor reading and medicinal use of plants. Excite your little ones with the reward of a certificate at the end of the course as well as a lifelong keep sake memory of Mziki.
Enjoy wildlife sightings from the swimming pool overlooking the watering hole.
Our safari activities include game drives in open land cruisers, bush walks, fishing in our river, or the unique barge cruise into the bordering 2000ha Vaalkop Lake with breathtaking scenery & birdlife (hyacinths and water level permitting).

Mziki Private Game Reserve is situated in the Valkopdam area, between Brits & Sun City, 2060 Beestekraal, South Africa
Directions
- From Johannesburg: Use the R511 to Brits or R512 via Lanseria airport, then link up with R511and drive straight through Brits and continue towards Thabazimbi on R511. After 40 min. outside of Brits turn left towards Beestekraal, Vaalkop Dam. At the T-juntion turn left, follow the Mziki signs. The road makes a slight right bend, follow for about 3km (with potholes) until you see the brown Mziki sign on the right. Follow the sand road at the base of a water reservoir ''Mziki Safari Lodge'' sign for 1.5 Km until you reach our south gate. Call the Lodge for remote gate opening. - From OR Tambo: Drive on R21 to Pretoria, then N1 north to Polekwane, then N4 to Rustenburg, exit at R511 and drive straight through Brits, then follow above
Cancellation Policy
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 60 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the booking total.
- If cancelling 61 days before arrival, forfeit 0% of the booking total.

All deposits will qualify for a postponement for up to 12 months should entry into South Africa be reasonably deemed disrupted.
