Area Info
Approximately 90km south of Durban, between Hiberdene and Port Shepstone, you will find Umzumbe which is known as the best kept secret of the Hibuscus coast.
Umzumbe is one of the few blue flag beaches left with permanent life guards on duty.
Umzumbe is a small little town with good security and on weekends, the Rock pub plays live music.
There is also a small church for Sunday service and ample space for the whole family to enjoy themselves.
Fishing is from Stiebel rock and surfing is perfect in the warm Indian ocean.
The tidal pool is a favourite with the little ones and the swimming beach is a true pleasure to enjoy.
Directions
- From Durban, take the N1 South Coast road. * Take the R102 Hibberdene turnoff. * Drive through Hibberdene. * You will cross over a river then underneath a small bridge. * About 500m after the bridge, there is a very sharp turn to the left. * Signboards of Pumula Beach Hotel on the left. * Turn left into Station road, then first right into Stiebel Rock. * Summer Place is directly in front of you to the left of the beach parking. Huge steel gate with a high cream wall.
Cancellation Policy
- If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 75% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
- If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
Conditions
We require a 50% deposit upfront and the full balance 2 days before arrival. Check in from 14:00 until 21:00. If you require a late check in or early departure, please contact us directly.
We have a strict non smoking indoors policy. Please adhere to it.
