Bluegum Hill is ideally located for visitors to Cape Town?
2 minutes drive to South Africa's ?Mother City?, dating back to April 1652, markets, shops, restaurants, pubs, museums, the Castle and the famous Company Gardens.
5 minutes drive to the bustling V & A Waterfront.
10 minutes drive to majestic Table Mountain.
15 minutes drive to Cape Towns' famous Clifton and Camp?s Bay beaches.
Although we are not in short walking distance to the City and Waterfront - guests enjoy walking to the Waterfront, 30 minutes downhill by foot and City centre 20 minutes by foot.
Coming home by foot is rather tiring as it's uphill all the way back.
We do not advise walking at night and taxis are inexpensive and easily available.
There are many fine restaurants in the area - we can gladly book a variety of restaurants for our guests.
We will gladly help organize our guests' stay in our beautiful City and are able to recommend all the best options of what to see and where to go.
We have all the necessary info and maps here to plan with our guests, when they arrive.

- From the Airport, or N1 or N2 Highways, follow all the signs
- to the City Centre.
- On your way in to the City - take the Waterfront exit till you come to see the City.
- Follow the Sea Point / Waterfront signs till the end of the highway.
- As you enter the City of Cape Town, you will see the Waterfront entrance on your right.
- Cross over the first traffic lights at COEN STEYTLER ROAD.
- You are now on BUITENGRAGHT STREET.
- Cross over the traffic lights at HANS STRYDOM ROAD.
- Cross over the traffic lights at SOMERSET ROAD.
- Pass under the foot bridge.
- At the next traffic light, turn right into STRAND STREET.
- Keep straight on driving uphill with the Harbour on the right.
- Cross straight over the traffic lights at CHIAPPINI STREET.
- This is now HIGH LEVEL ROAD, keep straight on.
- At the next traffic light at the top of the hill, turn left into
- OCEAN VIEW DRIVE.
- Take the second road to your left into MERRIMAN ROAD.
- Follow this steep paved road up around the bend to the left.
- We are Number 13 Merriman Road - you have arrived!
