Description
Skeiding is a working farm, situated halfway between Cape Town and Knysna on the N2, making it an ideal stopover. You'll most likely end up wanting to stay an extra night or three.
Boasting panoramic views of the Langeberg mountains, Skeiding exudes a sense of innate tranquillity, old-world charm and warm hospitality – ideal for a rejuvenating weekend away.
Your hosts, Neels and Anné-Lize, are two energetic people who love life. You need to be, to be able to run a farm and a Guest House in the same lifetime.
Skeiding Guest House is your home away from home – a traditional farmhouse with a warm atmosphere that will make you feel part of the family.
At Skeiding we definitely don't believe in fasting or diets! We are renowned for our authentic South African farm-style cuisine, served daily in the sunny restaurant.
Prepared with love in our traditional farm kitchen, Skeiding invites you to indulge your senses in “smullekker” farm breakfasts, malva pudding, homemade boerewors, flavoursome ostrich meat and so much more.
If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, join Neels your enthusiastic tour guide on a hands-on tour of our beautiful farm. Every tour is different and could involve feeding the ostriches, watching our sheepdogs, Jan and Miela, in action, learning about sheep, planting crops and much more. A real education for city slickers. The farm tour usually commences at 07:30 (yes, lekker early before breakfast!)
