A charming farming town located in the largest youngberry growing area in the world - it is an ideal center for touring the Breede River Wine Route, visiting Agulhas, southernmost tip of Africa, walking in Marloth Nature Reserve or visiting the Bontebok and de Hoop Nature Reserve. Swellendam is the centre of all Cape attractions.

Directions

  • Take the N2 from either Cape Town/Cape Town International Airport or George. Coming from Cape Town take the Swellendam EAST exit which is the further side of town. Coming from George, Swellendam EAST will be the first exit off the N2.
  • Follow the main road until you see the "Big White Church" on your right, and turn right into Von Manger Street. Take 2nd right into Kanon Street, follow the main drag into Van Ryneveld to Bergsig Avenue at the top. A Hilltop will be the 2nd house on your right, number 7.
