Directions

• Please do not use your GPS. This may result in a longer route
• than the one we recommend.
• From Hoedspruit take the R40 south towards White River
• Travel 6km from Hoedspruit, turn left at the Timbavati / Eastgate Airport sign
• In 300 metres, slow down for entry at the Guernsey Control Gate
• Keep an eye out for wildlife on both sides of the road as you travel between reserves
• Keep an eye out for potholes
• Travel for 17,5km to the Enkhulu Entry Gate to the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve
• Present your QR code which has been sent to your phone by Tulela
• Pay R280.00 Vehicle Entrance Fee in cash or with Visa/MasterCard
• Keep the permit issued by the Gate to be presented when you depart the Reserve
• The maximum speed limit is 50km on the tar and 40km on the gravel
• Travel for 21km on the tar road
• The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve is on your left and the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve is on your right as
• you travel the tar road
• After 21km turn left at the sign Fife - Durham onto the gravel road which is 8.4km to Tulela
• Travel for 2.5km on the gravel road, then keep left at the fork, at the Durham sign
• Travel 5.9km on the gravel road, and follow the Durham sign
• Travel over the 4-way crossing
• You will see water tanks on the hill on the left, travel past Hilltop Camp
• Continue to the dry river crossing and over the concrete causeway
• Follow the Tulela sign for Tulela Safari Lodge
• Take the second turnoff after crossing the concrete causeway for Mondzo
