The Fernery Lodge is perched above a 30m waterfall with stunning views over the ocean and majestic Tsitsikamma Mountains. Every effort has been made to ensure our guests' comfort. This is a perfect romantic getaway with perfect rest and relaxation in calm and beautiful surroundings.

The Fernery offers guests breathtaking views; beautifully appointed and superbly furnished luxury rooms, tastefully and individually decorated.

Open fireplaces in the lounge and dining room; a jacuzzi, sauna and a swimming pool … are but some of the features that make the Lodge a really special destination. We have 7 various room choices. There is something for everyone, from the honeymoon couple to a family occupying a luxurious apartment chalet.

Unfortunately, the lodge is not child-friendly. We recommend our chalets for families. All units are tastefully decorated and fitted with all amenities to ensure comfort and privacy.

The area is covered in large tracts of indigenous forest, commercial plantations and fynbos fields.

Deep river gorges cleft the plateau as they make their way down to the sea, creating spectacular waterfalls and deep kloofs.

A mild all year round climate allows one to make the most of all the outdoor activities that are on offer, whilst a high rainfall ensures the lushness of vegetation that the area is renowned for.

Directions

  • The Fernery is situated on the Garden Route, in the Tsitsikamma, mid-way between Plettenberg Bay & Jeffrey's Bay and approximately 160km from both the Port Elizabeth & George airports.
  • Please DO NOT USE GPS coordinates - rather follow these directions and signage along the way.
  • When travelling west on the N2 from Port Elizabeth & Jeffrey's Bay, continue for 4km after crossing the Kruis River Bridge & The Tsitsikamma Lodge and turn left onto the Bluelilliesbush & Nompumelelo Village Road.**
  • When travelling east on the N2 from George & Plettenberg Bay, continue for 4km after crossing the Storms River Bridge and turn right onto the Blueliliesbush & Nompumelelo Village road.**

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total.
  • If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
  • If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
  • If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
