Area Info

Mbombela, formerly Nelspruit, is the capital of South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province.

It’s a gateway to Kruger National Park, home to elephants, zebras, rhinos and other wildlife.

The city’s Lowveld National Botanical Garden features a man-made rainforest.

Northwest are the prehistoric Sudwala Caves, with unusual rock formations.

South, Umhloti Nature Reserve contains the Jane Goodall Institute’s Chimp Eden sanctuary.

Directions

  • From Johannesburg (± 4 hours by car)
  • Take the N4 towards Witbank.
  • Follow the N4 for ±300km, passing Witbank and
  • Machododorp.
  • 10km before Nelspruit take the Burnside turnoff on your right.
  • Continue on the Burnside road for 1.2km.
  • Rock View Lodge will be on your left.

Cancellation Policy

  • A Full English Breakfast is available on request served between 07:00-08:30am Monday to Sunday at an additional cost of R150.00 pp. Kitchen closes at 9:00am.
  • Check in times are from 15h00 to 18h00. Later by prior arrangement. Gates close at 9pm for security reasons. Unfortunately we don't have a 24hr Reception...
  • Please let us know your ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival)
  • Check out time is at 10:00am. A Day Visitors Rate will be charged from 10:30am.
  • Please leave key at reception before you leave and get an exit code.
  • A cleaning/Breakage Fee of R300.00 will be charged should the need arise.
  • There will be a penalty of R200 for any lost or damaged keys.
  • PLEASE TAKE NOTE
  • Rates are charged Per person Not Per Room, Unless stated.
  • Please note our Cancellation policy which the guest accepts liability for with acceptance of this Invoice:
  • Cancellation less than 14 days prior to stay will forfeit their deposit.
  • Cancellation less than 7 days prior to arrival – No Refunds.
  • No refunds for early check out
  • A 10% administration fee on any refunds will be charged
  • NO SMOKING allowed in rooms or units.
  • NO Eating Allowed in the rooms, There are seating areas available around the pool deck.
  • NO Own ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN POOL AREA OR LUXURY ROOMS, WE HAVE A FULLY LICENSED BAR.
  • Should any Alcohol be brought into the Luxury Rooms or Pool Area, There will be a Corkage Fee of R150
  • per person.
  • NO MUSIC. Please enjoy the atmosphere .
  • Appropriate swimwear to be used when swimming, no underwear please.
  • Residents will not be allowed any visitors unless by prior arrangement.
  • NO kitchen facilities available for the 4 star en-suite rooms, however we do have braai facilities near our dam with all necessary cutlery and crockery available on request.
  • Dinner options are available Monday to Thursday with prior arrangements (Need to let us know by 2PM) Closed During December.
  • We also have GREAT restaurants between 5km and 10km from the lodge.
  • All en-suite rooms are 4 star graded, the self-catering units are not graded.
  • Rooms are serviced daily with exception of Sundays and Public Holidays.
  • Should you require a service on the above days there will be an additional fee and this will be by prior arrangement.
  • No noise or Swimming after 21h00, we want all our guests to enjoy their stay!
  • No littering, a cleaning fee will be charged at check-out if need be.
  • Unruly guests will not be tolerated and will be escorted off the premises.
