As part of the renowned Balule Nature Reserve, Mohlabetsi is proudly integrated into the Greater Kruger National Park Management Area. This privileged position allows our guests to explore over 12,000 hectares of pristine wilderness teeming with wildlife.
Our intimate lodge features six charming thatched rondavels, each offering twin or king-size beds, private en-suite bathrooms, air-conditioning, ceiling fans, and bar fridges for your comfort. We are situated in the vast Balule Reserve, which is incorporated into the Greater Kruger Park. We offer two safari activities per day, an afternoon and morning drive in open Land Cruisers.
Being close to the Lowveld town of Hoedspruit, we are in the middle of South Africa's most beautiful area, the Drakensberg Panorama Route as well as the Kruger Park.
Balule Nature Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger Park, which means that it is part of a vast conservation area. Our drives depart from the Lodge, directly into prime wilderness, where Big Game, as well as a vast array of other spectacular wildlife awaits. Skilled & experienced Rangers & Trackers search out animals of interest, to excite & delight you on safari. Superb photographic opportunities await you, as your guides bring up close and personal to the Big 5 plus plenty more.

- Join the N12 towards Witbank
- N12 joins the N4 at Witbank and continue to Belfast.
- At Belfast take the R540 to Dullstroom & Lydenburg.
- Continue through Lydenburg and towards Ohrigstad along the R36.
- Pass through the Abel Erasmus Pass and through the JG Strydom Tunnel towards Hoedspruit along the R527.
- At Hoedspruit the R527 will intersect with the R40.
- Turn left and travel along the R530 (R40) for 10kms and turn right at the Mohlabetsi signboard.
- Enter the manned security gates and travel 7kms and drive straight into the camp, where a warm welcome awaits you.

- Kindly note our terms and conditions:
- Check in: 12h00 – 14h00.
- Check out: 07h00 - 10h30.
- Gate fees are R300.00 per vehicle, plus R100 per person. These are payable at the gate on arrival, with card.
- Payment: 50% payment required upon booking. Balance payment is due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Cancellation policy: Cancellation 30 days before check-in date is subject to cancellation fees.
- Child policy: Children are welcome and do join the game drives. Please call lodge in advance to get rates and secure arrangements. Children between 0 – 11 pay sharing rate of 50%. Between 12 - 18 years pay sharing rate of 100%.
- We offer 2 game drives per day included in the rate, your ranger will knock on the door to awaken you to the Bushveld dawn. Coffee, tea and rusks are served in the outdoor lounge.
- Rate is full board offering full breakfast that is hot and cold, lunch and dinner, all served fresh and delicious.
- Pet policy: No pets allowed.
- Laundry at an additional cost.
- No smoking in rooms, there are designated smoking areas outside.
