Our boutique hotel, a beautifully restored Victorian gem built in 1896, is nestled on the slopes of Devil's Peak. Situated next to UCT's lower campus and below Rhodes Memorial, it graces a quiet, leafy, flower-lined avenue. We are ideally located to make your visit truly memorable.
Carmichael House boasts a lush garden where you can unwind on a bench or recline by the sparkling pool. There are seven en-suite bedrooms, each uniquely decorated with impeccable taste. Five of these rooms are perfect for families, offering options from Family Rooms to Family Suites. Each Family Suite features inter-connecting bedrooms, comfortably accommodating up to five guests.
Our Diamond room is a charming honeymoon loft on the second floor, artfully blending modern comforts with vintage charm. Additionally, we offer two Luxury Bedrooms tailored for couples, making them ideal for corporate or academic guests seeking a serene retreat.

- From Main Road - Mowbray: Wolmunster Road is off Main Road, two roads from the Mowbray Police Station and directly opposite the 7/11 shop
- From Cape Town:
- a. Take the M3 towards Muizenberg, exit 6D - Rhodes Avenue/Mowbray (at the windmill )

- c. drive down to Main Road (Baxter Theatre on the right) and turn left
- d. at the sign "ICTS on Main" turn left into Wolmunster Road (opposite the 7/11 shop)
- From Cape Town Airport:
- a. Take the N2 towards Cape Town
- b. Take the M3 turnoff towards Muizenburg
- c. first exit 6D - Rhodes Avenue/Mowbray (at the windmill )
- d. at the stop street take the 1st right - Cecil Road
- e. 1st left - Wolmunster Road
- From Rondebosch, Claremont, Kenilworth:
- a. Take Main Road past the Baxter Theatre and the Woolsack Drive M3 highway entrance
- b. at the sign "ICTS on Main" turn left into Wolmunster Road (opposite the 7/11 shop)
- From the N1 (Century City):
- a. take the M5 - Muizenburg off-ramp
- b. continue until you come to the N2 Cape Town off-ramp
- c. take the M3 - Muizenberg
- d. exit 6D - Rhodes Avenue/Mowbray (at the windmill )
