Quaggasfontein Private Reserve – Karoo

Quaggasfontein Private Game Reserve is a secluded jewel near the town of Colesberg in the vast and extensive Karoo, with the sole focus to maintain the simplistic principles of life so tangibly found in our unique environment.

Guests have a choice of lovely rooms that can accommodate between 2 to 4 people. The rooms are furnished with comfortable king-size beds and single beds or double beds, and have en-suite bathrooms with a shower only or a bath and a shower. Tea and coffee-making facilities, bar fridges, and Wi-Fi access are available in all of the rooms, some of which open onto a patio with views of the garden and are air-conditioned.

The Indoor Lapa facilities are available for private hiring and offer a large indoor bar, dining and lounge area, as well as braai facilities, and are just 10 m from a water hole that is frequently visited by the free-roaming game. A stone wall surrounding the lodge enables close-up game viewing. Guests can play a round of tennis or cool down in the swimming pool. A laundry service, dinner and breakfast, and game drives can be arranged on request at an additional cost.

The 28,000-hectare reserve offers a tranquil getaway, and guests can view herds of both small and large herbivores, from the timid springbok that once owned the Karoo to the burly Cape Buffalo.
