The bedrooms are named after African animals, and each is equipped with a seating area overlooking the pool or garden.

Bhangazi Lodge has a large collection of African arts and crafts. Based in St Lucia, it is located at the gateway to the iSimangaliso Wetlands Park, the first world heritage site in South Africa. There is a shared lounge with ample seating.

Guests can start their day with a buffet of cold meats, cheese, cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt followed by a cooked breakfast.

  • Johannesburg Airport => destination Durban (N3) / Springs to N17 => on N17 to Ermelo => N2 starts to Piet Retief => Pongola (N2) => Mtubatuba (N2), left to Mtubatuba (R618) => St. Lucia (R618).
  • Once you’ve crossed the bridge in St. Lucia there is a traffic circle, please turn left into McKenzie Street, then turn right into Beach Road. Then just follow the signboards: turn right into Pelican Street, next turn left into Garrick Avenue, next turn right into Hornbill Street. Bhangazi Lodge is situated on the right hand side, 36 Hornbill Street. There is a lit signboard ‘Bhangazi Lodge’
  • From Durban:
  • From Durban take the N2 (National Road N2) northbound. On the signboards you'll find North Coast, Stanger etc. Remain on the N2 passing 3 Toll Gates. After 230 km or so, please turn right to Mtubatuba/St. Lucia. At the Stop sign in Mtubatuba (approx. 2 km) please turn left and after another 900 m please turn right getting on the R618 (Regional Road R618) destination St. Lucia (approx. 25 km).
  • After you’ve crossed the bridge in St. Lucia you’ll get to a small traffic circle, there please turn left into McKenzie Street, then next Street turn right into Beach Road.   • If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.

  • If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit.
