Description
The Winelands Villa Guesthouse provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable holiday in the heart of the Cape Winelands on a beautiful property that covers more than 5 300 m².
Home away from home, our guesthouse is situated 5 minutes from the Strand beach, 20 minutes from Cape Town international Airport and 40 minutes from Cape Town Waterfront. We are also very close to Stellenbosch and various wine routes.
Our ten rooms and three self-catering units are tastefully decorated. All rooms are en-suite with shower, basin and toilet or full facilities with bath, shower, basin and toilet. They are fully equipped with tea and coffee facilities, heaters and television. All rooms are serviced daily and our in-house laundry services will take care of your laundry needs.
You can enjoy a relaxing drink on the deck with panoramic views or relax and take advantage of the South African sun at our sparkling swimming pool surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens and perfect manicured lawns.
We have a cozy fireplace in our Lounge for the winter months.

Area Info
The present day Somerset West is a highly desirable national and international holiday destination and a popular residential area thanks to its location between the majestic mountains and its close distance from the sea and other major Cape highlights.
The area is renowned for its state of the art golf courses, of which the most famous is the Erinvale golf course, designed by the South African golfer Gary Player.
Somerset West has a great infrastructure, the amenities of a premier holiday resort and a large shopping mall, Somerset Mall, with nearly 200 shops, boutiques, restaurants and more for your convenience.
The Cape Town City Centre is a forty minute drive away from the historical Somerset West.
From here you have easy access to the beaches at Strand and Gordon’s Bay, and Sir Lowry’s Pass, which crosses the Hottentots Holland mountains with an impressive view over False Bay, into the Overberg and the Cape Peninsula, and then onto the abundant Garden Route.

- Directions from Cape Town (or the Cape Town International Airport):
- Take the N2 highway in the direction of Stellenbosch/Somerset West.
- Continue on the N2 until exit 43 (the sign says R44, Stellenbosch and Broadway Blvd). Take into consideration that most street names are down on the curbs!
- Turn left towards Stellenbosch and onto the R44. Continue on the R44 until you reach the first traffic light (Main Road), where you turn right towards Somerset West.
- At the next traffic light (Helderberg College Road), turn left. Continue up the hill to a 4-way stop. Turn left into Old Stellenbosch Road and approximately 600 metres on your left is number 59. The sign says Winelands Villa Guesthouse & Cottages.

- From Stellenbosch:
- From Stellenbosch you drive south on R44 towards Somerset West and Strand.
- Approximately 14 km from Stellenbosch you will reach Somerset West. Directly after you pass the 80 km/h sign, turn left into The Old Stellenbosch Road. The sign also reads Helderberg Estate. Take into consideration that most street signs are down on the curbs!
- Continue to a small circle and keep going straight and approximately 500 metres on your right is number 59.The sign says Winelands Villa Guesthouse & Cottages.
